This ad represents the real issue. Michael Phelps the greatest swimmer in the effing world is a known pot smoker. What the hell is wrong with the people who make these ads? Do they realize this is propaganda?

Marijuana prohibition is based on racism and limiting of a free market economy. Don’t believe me read these quotes that were a big part of Henry Anslinger’s anti marijuana push of the 40’s.

“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.”

“…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.”

“Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.”

“Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.”

“Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing”

“You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.”

“Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.”

After reading those you can see the history of marijuana, it is not based in scientific fact but on sensationalist media and racism.

Read this article for a broad and interesting history of Marijuana prohibition, Why is Marijuana Illegal? .

It is a long article but it really highlights the point. Marijuana should not be illegal on a federal level. If states or counties want to be free of the Mary Jane, no big deal, but federally, no way.

The basic gist of the article is a few people had loads of money tied up into wood pulp paper and nylon rope and couldn’t afford the really cheap and strong hemp coming into play as a legit threat to their business…so these business owners sought federal mandates based on yellow journalism and hate speech to make hemp and weed illegal.

Asinine. The very fact that so many people buy into the absolute stupidity of a war on naturally growing products makes me sick to my stomach. It makes me sick because we claim to be the land of the free. Free men should not have a gun leveled at their head when they grow something…especially when it is a product like hemp that offers some great products (including but not limited to the buds).

The next thing we know the government will wage war on a specific style of war, “War on Guerilla warfare!” Wait a second, George W. and Obama decided to wage a war on “terrorism”, fantastic.

The commies are obviously focused on spreading their message through marijuana! That’s why all those commie nations have it legal. Oh, never mind.

I think the next step is ” Marijuana: The Drug Terrorists Love to Smoke When They Plot Against Freedom.”

All the work we do to tell our children that drugs are harmful is undone by people like you. How does it help to have legalized marijuana which young children can easily access? It doesn’t! Our laws help REDUCE drug usage that is BAD. No surprise that a bunch of drug loving drunks would suppport making our society more UNSAFE!

  3. threebillz says:

This article has nothing to do with your kids perception of drugs being undone. When they do drugs and realize the only thing bad that happens is an outside force oppressing them because they enjoy drugs.

It’s people like you who were spouting the same mindless propaganda about alcohol in the twenties. Your ideas are archaic and thoughtless. If you took twenty minutes to really think about things you would realize that we already have laws that deal with sobriety which make the “weed is harmful” arguments hold very little water.

I know plenty of people who smoke pot and they are hardly sociopaths, they aren’t sadomasochists, they aren’t out to hurt anybody. They are normal everyday people who just enjoy a little pot after a long hard day, is that a crime? Well yes it is, but it shouldn’t be.

Drug laws just aren’t consistent, if they were we’d still have prohibition of Alcohol, and as the article above states drug laws are steeped in racism and falsehood.

Of course drugs are fin! JUST LOOK AT WHAT METH AND CRACK DO IN OUR CITIES!!!!!!!!!

I am not mindless! Wanting a wholesem society is not mindless!

  5. threebillz says:

I didn’t claim you were mindless I claimed your propaganda was mindless. You are ignorant for spouting that mindless drivel, but I am sure you possess a mind.

How many meth-heads have hurt you recently? How many crackheads have hurt you? And when I say hurt you I mean physically accosted or laid hands on you violently. Probably none, and if one had you would be one of the small percentage that have been physically harmed by it.

I’ve seen a lot of violent people in my life. Very few of them needed drugs to be violent. There are laws against violence. Meth and Crack are not proven to cause more violence. When you can produce physical proof that these drugs in some way “HARM OUR CITIES” is not demonstrable.

Wanting a wholesome society is fine. But what is wholesome? I think you can maintain a wholesome society and still smoke a little pot or drink a lot of beer and wine. You obviously don’t. So we should live in separate communities, but I shouldn’t have to leave the country because your idea of wholesome is more restrictive than mine. To view an example of what I am proposing think of dry counties. You can happily live in your dry county. I’ll happily live in my beer drinking community.

Just don’t let your socially retarded children linger too long at the county line, I may hand them a fifth of Jack and teach them how to become serial murderers while smoking pot.
